On March 16th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Nanjing Purong CNC Equipment Co., Ltd. high-end industrial machine tool and intelligent manufacturing equipment R&D and manufacturing base project was grandly held in Pukou District, Nanjing City.

The ceremony was attended by major leaders from the district government and relevant departments, industry associations, and cooperating universities, as well as guests from all walks of life, who jointly witnessed this historic moment.

Nanjing Purong CNC Equipment Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nanjing Gongda CNC Technology Co., Ltd., dedicated to the research and development and manufacturing of high-end industrial machine tools and intelligent manufacturing equipment.

Yu ChunJian, chairman of Gongda CNC, stated in his speech that this new project is a bold attempt by the company in promoting its "Centennial Gongda CNC" development strategy, aiming to benchmark and surpass the key performance and indicators of core products against the world's most advanced products.

Mao Yufeng, president of the China Machine Tool Industry Association, analyzed from an industry perspective that currently, the Chinese machine tool industry faces both challenges and opportunities, with opportunities outweighing challenges. The construction of this project signifies Gongda CNC's confidence in the future of China's machine tool industry and manufacturing industry. He hopes that Gongda CNC and Purong CNC will focus on the field of gear processing, continuously research and develop new products and technologies, seize industry opportunities, and achieve rapid development.

Xu Daojun, secretary of the Party Working Committee of Pukou Economic Development Zone, stated in his speech that the district government will fully support the project construction, responding to the needs of enterprises with better policies, a better environment, and faster speed, assisting enterprise development, and ensuring that the project is completed and put into production as soon as possible.

Subsequently, the leaders and guests attending the ceremony jointly broke ground for the Nanjing Purong CNC Equipment Co., Ltd. high-end industrial machine tool and intelligent manufacturing equipment R&D and manufacturing base project.

The project covers an area of 49.7 mu (approximately 33,133 square meters), with a total investment of 500 million yuan. It plans to build a R&D and manufacturing base with a total construction area of approximately 38,000 square meters (floor area ratio of approximately 51,000 square meters), including production workshops, pilot workshops, a research and development center, offices, canteens, dormitories, and other supporting facilities. It plans to purchase advanced equipment and establish a 1.25~16-meter CNC shaping gear grinding machine production line, a reliability testing center for CNC gear machines with specifications exceeding 4 meters, and a 10MW+ intelligent manufacturing equipment testing platform. Upon completion, it will be able to achieve mass production of large, high-end CNC shaping gear grinders.

The construction of this project will help achieve import substitution and independent control of core technologies, in line with the national strategy of implementing high-quality development.

It is believed that with the joint efforts of all parties involved in the project, the Nanjing Purong CNC Equipment Co., Ltd. high-end industrial machine tool and intelligent manufacturing equipment R&D and manufacturing base project will surely be completed and put into production as soon as possible, making new and greater contributions to the economic and social development of Nanjing City!
